There are a few things you can do:
Make sure they have plenty to keep them occupied during the day - this link has good ideas:http://www.catclinicofroswell.com/faq/detail.aspx?faqid=3
Set aside time every evening for you to have a good long play session with them, with an interactive toy they enjoy - a feather toy on a string & stick ('Da Bird' is a good one), a laser pointer, or a long shoestring are usually popular with cats. After the play session and shortly before bedtime, give them a nice meal of canned cat food - this helps to simulate the hunt/catch/eat/sleep cycle their ancestors and wild relatives go through, and will help them to sleep peacefully at night.
Plug in a vacuum cleaner and set it within arm's reach of your bed. If the cats start bothering you when you're trying to sleep, just switch on the vacuum cleaner for a moment. Having the vacuum monster come to life whenever they bother you at night should soon discourage them from disturbing your sleep.
Hope this helps!

I remember having this problem with my cat and there's not much you can do to stop it that I know of but I do know for a fact that they'll grow out of it. I don't know if you've tried this but maybe you could put them both together in a small room with their food, water and their litter box and then give them a bunch of toys that they can play with without making too much noise and that way you can sleep and they can still have their fun and then you'd just pick up their toys in the morning that's the only thing I can think of. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help but I wish you the best of luck with your cats.

Cats are naturally more active at night. Try to provide them with activities during the day. I just ordered a 5 foot kitty playland on ebay and am getting delivered for $77.00 total. Thats a huge savings over pet stores.

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do. Cats are nocturnal animals (meaning awake and active at night) The only hope I can give is once they are out of the kitten stage (which they are close to) they might calm down. Also try spaying and neutering them if they are not already. Might help a little.
Good luck.

My cat does that too, yet she does all of it the time. it would properly be the fashion of breed that is. My cat runs all hyper and talks up a typhoon at evening yet she runs wild in the course of the day. So loosen up it ins't merely your cat!!

FORTUNATLY THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO DESPITE THE VET TECHS ANWSER,
I HAVE TRAINED MY CATS TO BE UP DURING THE DAY AND SLEEP AT NIGHT, THE KEY IS PLAYING WITH THEM AND MAKING THEM STAY AWAKE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, ITS HARD THE FIRST COUPLE WEEKS BUT, EVENTUALLY THEY WILL GET IT MY CATS ARE AROUND THE SAME AGE AND THEY ARE DOLLS
