It is a good name. However, if you're asking of it's implication to the person being named of I don't know. In the Bible it is usually have a meaning which the father associate it with the son how he will become when grown up. In God's calling sometimes the name is being change according to how he behave with God. As to Jacob who after wrestling with the angel his name was change to Israel.

Everytime I hear that name I think of this kid I know, and then immediately after I think of this old guy I know, so I guess it's a good name for both young and old. And when they're young they can be called Josh :)
For instance, Beatrice is a nice older name, but I can't imagine a kid named Beatrice.

This is cause for pause. Theologically it's a firestorm because of ramifications that undeniably place Jesus as the promised Messiah.
