Yes and no....but before I answer your question, I just want to say that "without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him". Yes, that's a quote from the word of God, but here's an even better one: "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). What's my point in mentioning these two verses from the Bible? Two things: First, my hope is that the Spirit of God will burn in your heart as you read them, giving you an internal reason to believe. And second, to set a foundation of what faith in God is really all about: coming to Him for nothing more and nothing less than a REWARD! If you or I come to God for any other reason than to receive a reward we insult Him as though we have anything to give back to Him that He did not already give to us. So be encouraged, my friend, God wants to get glory in your life, but not by demanding that you serve Him as though He needed you, but by answering your prayers to "give you the desires of your heart!"
Finally, is it normal to have no faith in God? Yes....... and no.
Yes, in one sense it is normal, because we are born into a troubled world in this life and disappear like a shadow. There's people dying all over the place--young and old--and so it seems almost impossible sometimes to think that there really is a God who is allowing all of this to happen.
But on the other hand, no, it's not normal, because God has not left us in the dark as to what He is truly like. Whenever I get in His face and ask Him why he could let my dad die young, or why he could allow Tony Dungee's (superbowl coach) son kill himself, He reminds me that He too died young, when He took my place on the cross.
Because of that, He understands what I am going through. And He promises that one day, He will come again. Not as a humble baby in a manger, or as a humble man riding a donkey (like He did when He was travelling to Jerusalem 6 days before He died), but as the glorious Almighty King of kings, and Lord of Lords. And on that day, He has promised to wipe away every tear of those who have believed in Him for eternal life, and He will destroy all those who have rejected His sacrifice on the cross as worthless to them.
Let me ask you a question: if God were to arrive on planet earth today what do you imagine He would be like? Would he hold press conferences and announce His arrival and get lots of attention? Or do you think He would serve people and love them and be somewhat of an outcast in our self-absorbed world? I believe He would serve people and not be one for gaining the praise of man. This is the stunning irony about Jesus: though He was God He had a profound reverence for God, and did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life for those who see the beauty of it all, and embrace Him as God.
No, it's not unusual to have no faith in God, precisely because we are living in a troubled world. But yes, it is unusual to have no faith in God when you look full in the face of the Man of sorrows, executed not for His own evil ways, but ours.
Respectfully submitted,

Faith in God is developed from learning to trust. For some it's easier than others. Some trust God in certain areas of their lives while having little or no trust in others. It's a fairly normal human condition. Perhaps the best way to increase your faith is to examine your life for areas God has shown Himself to you then let Him reveal more over time. It worked for me.

yes if it is something you don't think about or care to talk about,
no if you have absolutely no faith whatsoever.
Come on man, have a little faith in something. Have faith the sun will rise tomorrow even if its covered by clouds.

No belief in, or no faith in, they are two different things.
In either case, it's normal.
