They are guilty of sin, as are all people. God will judge them, as He will judge us all.
For the most part, it appears that they don't want to deny their sin. They want to live it publicly and still be accepted as Christians. That doesn't work any better than a bank robber telling everybody at church that's what he does and he's proud of it. I might love robbing banks, but I have to give it up.
For those who say the NT does not address homosexuality, please read these verses.
Romans 1:26-27
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
1 Corinthians 5:9-11 9Do you not know that the unrighteous[b] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[c] 10nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

God created gay people. Gay people may be Christians. The Church does not have a problem with Gay Christians. The Church does forbid sex outside of marriage for BOTH Gay and Straight Christians. The Church asks BOTH Gay and Straight members to remain celibate until Marriage. The Church does not recognize marriage between Gay partners.

AnyBody who has Accepted Jesus as their Saviour (they are Born-Again Then), is on their Way to Heaven.
Everybody needs to get Born-Again.
The Only Way to Lose your Salvation is by Committing the Unpardonable Sin.
Other Sins if you Stay in them AFTER your Born-Again, drags you Away from Fellowship with Jesus NOT Relationship--your Still Born Again Child of GOD.
BUT, if you Ascend up Real High (have a Very Close Fellowship with Jesus) and THEN Stay in Other Sin's that you Know your are not Suppose to Commit, THEN those Other Sins could Drag you Away from Jesus So Far that you Commit the Unpardonable Sin.
I would not Suggest Playing Around with Sin.
Also, there are People who are Really Messed Up with male and female Stuff (physicl AND Mental) that they Are Messed Up!
Takes Jesus to help Them figure themselves out.
Hope this helps.

christians should go by Gods opinion on this. So my opinion would be what Gods is and say that its a sin...those that live this lifestyle will not inherit the kingdom of God, according to the bible. which is Gods word.
EDIT> for those that use Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
Pretty simple and to the point - but not at all to be taken by itself! While people like to spit out 7:1, chances are they don't know much about what follows it. go to verses 2-5:
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Anyone can claim to be a "Christian", but believing in Christ and actually following his advice are two different things. Yes, Jesus loves everyone, but he also makes a big statement on "repenting" from whatever sin we are committing. That means to quit doing what we know is wrong. Personally, I couldn't care less what homosexuals do behind closed doors, my problem with them is that they try to "normalize" their activity to the point of proclaiming they can and should be "married" when it completely defies the very foundation of the creation of a man and a woman, and the exact intention and purpose of men and women, who are very clearly expected to become married. I don't even have a problem with two gays having legal rights if they are co-habitating, but please don't twist the Bible around to fit your own personal agenda, and try to justify your behavior, because you get to say that "God Loves Everyone!" 1Corinthians6:9 tells of many types of behavior that will NOT give you a ticket into God's Kingdom.

Since that lifestyle is in direct opposition to the Word of God there is no such thing as a Gay Christian.

Mav has the same opinion of gay Christians as she does about straight Christians.
We all are sinners, we all need grace, we all are loved by Jesus Christ.
Mav would oppose kicking a gay person out of her church when there are people who have sex outside of marraige welcomed, or those who drink to much, or eat too much or _____.
Mav thinks it's hypocritical to focus on one and not on all.
Jesus said "Whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, streams of living water will flow from within" (john 7:38) and in Revelation it says "The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life." (Rev 22:17)
Whoever wishes, *not* whoever we approve of

Isn't a Christian a person who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for our sins? So if a person believes in Christ, then does it matter if they are gay? Let me put it this way, only God knows what's in someone's heart. I'd be a fool to pass judgement on another person.....

A sinner saved by grace, who should be trying very hard not to give in to the temptations that so easily beset us. God does not promise us that the things that temp us will disappear when we accept Christ, but He does promise that He will help us to deal with them. Being tempted is not a sin; giving in to that temptation is. There were gay Christians in the first century church. Paul even mentions them. He says, "And such were some of you, but you have been washed, have been sanctified, have been justified, by the blood of Christ". To be washed is to be cleansed of your sins. To be sanctified is to be set apart as belonging to God. To be justified is to have your sins treated as if they had never occured. This is how God treats all sinners who come to Him.
