Do you think the program is backfiring by forcing teacher creativity out of the classroom, by having to teach to the test?

Absolutely! Like you said, teachers have to leave the creativity outside and teach to a test. And do we really want no child left behind? I got a great education where I went to school, but some of those kids I'm glad I left. I know that I don't have kids and if my child was struggling then I wouldnt want them left behind but I think there's a difference in having some trouble and not caring. I went to school with kids that didn't care about learning, about growing and educating themselves. It's not fair to the kids who constantly want to learn to have to stifle that because we all have to be even and equal and the same. All kids arent the same and they need to decide if it's better to be equal/even or to be fair. There's a difference.

YES. Teaching to the test IS boring. I got laughed out of a teaching job interview because I told them I don't agree with it. But that's what they want!! Sad, isn't it??
