Stuffed Porkchops

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter
1 egg, beaten
2 cups whole kernel corn
4 pork chops butterfly cut
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In bowl, combine bread crumbs, butter, egg, and corn. Mix until it is a stiff stuffing. Cut parallel into each chop to create a pocket. Stuff each pork chop with stuffing mix. Place chops in a cooking dish and then pour mushroom soup over top. Bake for about 45 minutes or until chops are cooked all the way through.

From which side and to what length do I slit them?
Should I marinate them before I start cooking them tonight?
If so, what marinade should I use?
Any pointers or tips anyone can give me for this recipe?
Will it be good with pasta and creamed spinach on the side?

How about marinating in Coca Cola?

sorry, Haven't tried the recipe, we don't like to eat sweat filled pig meat (pigs have no pores to sweat from)

sounds like you'd want to do a "butterfly-type" of cut on it.
If you want to marinade then do, if not, don't.
the pasta and spinach sounds yummy with it.

I haven't. It sounds good except for the corn. Slit them on the none bone side, if they are boneless, the side that would not have had the bone. If you can't tell where the bone would have been, slit on the thicker side, if both are equal than it does not matter.
Marinade with what YOU prefer! Look in the condiment asile of your store, there are hundreds to choose from! (If marinade you must, I don't think you need it!)
I would start baking them loosely covered and then remove the foil for the last 10 minutes of cooking. Make sure you let the chops sit for at least 10 minutes once removing from the oven.
Your sides sound yummy!

ADDITIONAL: I cook with Coke when I made shredded beef. You don't want stuffed chops to be falling apart, do not use Coke.

I don't think I would use a marinade. It would seem to me it will over power the effects of the stuffing.
