I'm planning on going back to college and am looking for scholarships/grants for adult students as I already have a B.A. and am ineligible for aid at my college.
Any help?

Are you planning on attending graduate school? If so, I recommend applying for the graduate or research assistant positions. It can provide help to attend college along with every day cash in the form of a salary for working so many hours per week at the college. The college should have more information on the subject on their website. I will also provide some free methods to locate scholarship money.

First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!

The public library is the best place. Ask at a reference desk.

The next best thing which actually lists scholarships for adults wishing to return to school would be a Matthew Lesko book. The library probably has a copy.

You also might want to look for non-profit private agencies in your area that help women. We have some where I live that offer several scholarships each year where age is not a factor. They are not easy to find though since they don't advertise.

Be persistent, patient, and resourceful.
