from my experience from swimming and teaching swimming,
most of the problems associated are dry hair and often people who dyed their hair find their colors fading really fast. thanks to the chlorine in the water!
so far a couple of methods which i find quite useful as experimented besides the maintainance of your hair such as conditioning as well as hair mask every now and then:
1. You could use a waterproof cap. those that separate your hair from the water. it works simply by keeping your hair away from the water.
2. this works to a certain extend. you have to apply oil to your hair before the swim. kinda like applying leave on conditioner. ive used baby oil, olive oil before and well works the same. unlike conditioners, oil arent afraid of chlorine.
these methods worked for me~ maybe they can work for you too!

Wet your hair before swimming in a pool. If your hair is wet before you enter a pool, it won't soak up as much chlorine.
Chlorine will dry out you hair and if you have color treated hair it can also change the color and texture. It your hair has no moisture than it will soak up twice as much chlorine then if it was moisturized. You want to try to keep your hair soft when you are not in the pool. One way to keep strands soft is to use a conditioner each and every day. The conditioner provides moisture for the hair which is the number one ingredient for achieving soft hair. It is important to use a liberal amount of conditioner based on the length of one’s hair yet not use too much. A gentle conditioning each day will keep your hair softer.

CONDITION-HYDRATE-MOISTURIZE.u cant do it too much cuz of what u do, but 1-2x a week give hair a deep conditiong treatment that u keep in for 20-30 min. even better with heat cap or hood dryer.pay special attention to ends. during times when ur not swimming use non-greasy leave-in conditioners in forms of sprays/mousses-they are liter than lotions/gels/jams/waxes. also ,try and work from the inside out.DRINK LOTSA WATER,EAT FOODS THAT AID SKIN/HAIR HEALTH

excessive exposure to chlorinated water may damage hair pretty badly. one way is to wear a swimming cap and ensure that most of your hair will not get in contact with the water and also do more conditioning of your hair...

well, if your blonde, you need o wash your hair after each time you swim. otherwise it will trun chlorine green. not really green, but it has a green tint to it, and plus it makes your hair unhealthy.
im not sure, but i bet theres a shampoo out there that is made for swimmers. if you are really concerned, get a skull cap (i think thats what its called) and your hair will never get wet. they are a pain to take off though

it can. make sure you shower after every swim and use a clarifying shampoo to remove the chlorine and other chemicals. get deep conditions at your salon maybe every other week. salons also do a service called a demineralizing treatment which is great for swimmers and should be pretty inexpensive. demineralizers are great for removing chlorine and other chemicals

most likley, so before you go swimming out in a leave in conditiner. or they sell products to use before, or after swimming. always take a shower (and shampoo/condition)after you swim to get the bleach off your hair and skin, which can damage it. oh and if you want wear a swim cap.

well, you should definitely do swimming for the fun and exercise. just take showers right after you get out of the pool and shampoo and condition. you should be fine.
