on the contract i signed.. all it stated was that i had out the thousand down for them to put it on hold. It was typed by the sales manager himself, It wasnt the real contract. Because the full down payment was $5000. He agreed if I gave him $1000 on the spot he'd hold it but the real contract wouldnt be needed untill I had paid the full $5000. And on that small paragraph he called a contract it didnt state anytrhing about 20% charge for my money back. Now when I confronted the owner about the sitution he agreed to pay it back. He gave me $500 of my $1000 cash and made me a reciet in his handwriting that he'd pay the additional $500 on March 3rd. I went back and he said he was only going to pay me $300. I stated Im not leaving with anything less then $500 and if I wasnt goin to get it, Id be back with a lawyer. Should I proceed?
