Tabby is just a color pattern..it has nothing to do with personality. Some might be and some might not be. I have 2 and they are not territorial.

All domestic cats are territorial to some degree. This is a trait that domestication has selected against, so they are not as territorial as wild felines. The extent to which has retained this inherent behavior genetically varies from one cat to the next, and is modified by the environment in which the cat was raised.

A cat that is inherently very territorial is going to accept other cats in the area to some degree if it was raised in a house with many cats. A cat that is not very territorial will balk at the introduction of another cat into it's home if it's been raised as the only cat for some time. Like many other behaviors it's not strictly a matter of nature or nurture but an end product of the combination of both. The tabby color has nothing to do with it.

Tabby is not a breed, it is the markings - stripes, or swirls - what some call a "tiger cat". Most have the classic "M" on the forehead. There are some purebred cats that can have this pattern or mongrel cats, so each tabby can have its own personality - but most domestic cats are territorial to some extent.

if its a male and theres a feamale around most likely that thay will be territorial if you have 1 cat and you taking 1 more in then you may want to keep the new comer in the bath room for a few days so the old cat and the new one get use to the smells and after a few days take the new one out for 10 mins and faze the new cat in good luck

All cats are territorial. It's in their nature. They often walk their premises to make sure there is nothing invading their territory.

they're a lot less everyday, certain. yet faraway from rare. i'd say that is about 80/20 male to female (in step with a lot documents stumbled on). this is now no longer like with calicos or tortoiseshell in which they're many times female and extremely, very infrequently adult men. The genetics that make orange cats can get up in each and each adult men and women people.

Yes - very. If you have one cat in a house for a very long time, do NOT try and introduce another cat, because they will fight each other!
