Frost bit is a possibility. But, dont diagnose yourself, get the youngster to a clinic immediately it could be a serious matter. If you dont have funds, go to your local free or min pay clinic at your local hospital.

May be a bacterial infection.
Try ' EXEL' Skin cream after cleaning gently with a cotton Swab dipped in a anti septic.

if it behind the ear... it could be (harmless cancer) but sometimes they arent..... i could be wrong but that is what happened to my cousin, i would just wait and go to a doctor
