This one is gonna be good. In my opinion, Marquez will be just a little too much for Vasquez. Marquez shoots the straighter punches and his defense is a lot tighter than Vasquez.

I've been following this one closely since I got out of the hospital and let me write to you, this fight is all out about pride, both of these fighters have made statements to the press to the effect of "In order to beat me, he's going to have to kill me." and "I would die before I would lose this fight." how can anyone top that? The really weird thing about it is, I believe them.

Hopefully you, me and all our other boxing affectionados will be writing about this one just as we do Leonard/Duran, Gatti/Ward and Herans/Hagler this is going to be a barn burner.

I'm writing right here, right now Marquez stops Vasquez before the 6th round.

Good question Brent! This will most certainly be an all out war as both combatants will go after each other with all of their heavy artillery. I believe that Marquez has a little better boxing technique and a better defense and that will be a major difference in this fight. I think that it will be a fairly even fight and an exciting one to see for about 8 rounds with Marquez landing the knockout punch on Vasquez in the 9th round.

I love boxing, but it is never on TV anymore. It's never promoted or advertised. I'm afraid boxing is going to be a dead sport except on the amateur level unless the boxing associations get a mogul type to start heavily promoting it again. Heck, you have to really hunt to even find a mention of results in the newspapers nowadays.
