An Atheist believes in people. There is no set other belief other than they don't believe in any god.
Atheists are NOT hopeless like religious people seem to think. You see, an Atheist has nothing to hold them back other than themselves.
An Atheist also knows theres someone out there that loves them. Its called family.
Atheists can't imagine being trapped in the fear of believing. Because thats the basics of religious belief (in most religions). Fear of punishment.
Atheists have a higher IQ than fanatically religious, they're willing to do more because they know this life is all they have and there is no other, and they believe in cherishing every moment of your life.
Atheists do not war on other nations just to try to support their Atheism and force it to spread. Unlike religious.
A person can't be an Atheist if they believed in a god. However, to believe must be given proof. Pretty much everything can be explained as "beings with greater technology". After all, to a cave man we'd seem like gods.
If any god exists, the god would have to do something pretty spectacular to get an Atheist to believe. And not even bringing a person back from the dead would be enough, so speaking to you definately won't be enough.

I am an atheist. I do not believe in any god(s) in any way. Just because I do not believe in gods doesn't mean I do not believe in anything. I believe in truth, justice, and sometimes, the American way. If there was a god, and he/she/it spoke to me in such a way that would convince me that he/she/it was god, then I would believe.
I will not believe in any god until I am satisfied with the evidence that supports the existence of such a god. I really do not care much for strangers who love me or not. I would much prefer strangers not to hate me, or insult me, or kill me, or discriminate against me because of my non-belief. That would suffice.
Thank you for not judging me. I do not only see hatred. I see many things in this world to love, and enjoy. Sorry, but I cannot believe and keep faith alive that there is a deity out there, let alone some deity who died for me. I wake up and feel good almost every day now without such beliefs.

The word "atheist" means "a-theistic": Aka: "non-theistic". People who do not belive in any god at all. Not Allah, not the Christian God, not Shiva.
We are quite aware that there is such a thing in the world as hatred, spite, and malice. We believe that a supernatural "agent of evil" is not nessecary. Humans are perfectly capable of all manner of terrible things. What theists don't give humanity ANY credit for is the GOOD stuff that we are capable of doing.
If you want me to believe in a deity of any kind, provide real, testable evidence for it. Not some book that claims to be true. Not unprovable anecdotes. Real evidence.
So far no one has been able to produce any. And so I remain an atheist.

As an atheist Tibetan Buddhist, Buddhist logic overrules the idea of an omnipotent creator being... so if some "god" spoke to me I'd know it was actually a being from the deva realm and give them the respect due that, but wouldn't be swayed by any claims to being omnipotent. There's no logic to such a being (omnipotent) existing.
The only "hatred" and "devilish behavior" I ever see is projections from other people who perceive it as some outside force instead of claiming responsibility for their own behavior and such and people's ACTIONS which are based off of self-cherishment and protection of their self-concepts at the expense of others usually. Very little altruism is there.
What you perceive as "going wrong" in this world is simply the result of actions by people... not some shady non-existing outside force. The problems you see could be fixed if everyone would strive more for altruism and work to subdue (note I didn't say "get rid of") their egos and self-cherishments.
Just my opinion.

I am not atheist but let me try to address your question.
You may assume that everybody is supposed to believe in something. I know of no reason to accept that assumption. So far as I can I seek to live my life free from assumptions made without evidence to support them. I want to live my life free from belief so far as this can be achieved. Beliefs are like cobwebs; they get in the way of seeing things as they really are.
Instead of believing things, I prefer to form convictions on the basis of evidence. There is no evidence either for or against the existence of the gods, so I withhold judgment. To live with unresolved questions is a sign of emotional maturity. It is only little children, not secure adults, who feel the need to get all questions answered even where there no evidence either way.

You see athiest do not hate GOD. They just don't believe god becuz there is no evidence. So like you have said, if really God is proved or comes down to speak to them, i bet they will be more than glad to accept God. When God comes down and show up, there wont be any problems from the athiests. All the problems will start from the different religions as they would be probably fighting over whether this 'God' is the true God or which religion's God isit. There will be internal conflict between different religions...So God is perhaps not showing up becuz of religious ppl and not becuz of non-believers...

I don't believe in god of the Christian religion. I believe in something more natural and organic. I can understand why pre-Cnristian people worshipped the suna nd the moon and the earth. They are what give us life. So I guess I am a sort of Pagan in that respect. But the bible says god loves everyone, so even if I am wrong he should forgive me because I am not a bad person.

I believe various notions can show us a form of God, but the problem is that God is beyond form. So you have to ask yourself if there is an analogy, metaphor, or thought that is a true enough form of God.
I believe that thought is the light within your mind. It is not God, but it is close enough, and believe me, it makes you happy. Call me crazy, but I'm having a good time.

I don't believe in any form of God.
I believe in what I see, and what I see proof of. There's no evidence at all to suggest that god is something I should believe in.
If any voices/apparitions spoke to me, I'd regard them as ghosts - not god.
I don't worry about not believing in god - nor do I believe in the idea of 'the devil'.
God, the devil, etc, were all created by humans, to control humans, and to explain the unexplained which was later explained.
And your English is fine, just needs some .s and ,s and it'd be very understandable.
