The best way to compete someone else is by being your self. Just brink out all these things she liked about you, the things you did and made her smile. The rock band guy is good for a while but only very few women can handle it. You shouldn't try to be something you're not just to compete him, cause he's real and the competing you won't be, and that'll show. If the reason she gave you for braking up with you is something that can be fixed somehow and has something to do with you, then try. Otherwise just be patient and let go.. It sounds hard, but most of the times the second time is never as good as the first, things are not the same..

You don't (and can't) compete. The only thing to do is to be honest with her and tell her that you still have feelings for her. Let her know that you care. She might still care about you too and come back to you. It doesnt hurt to let her know. If she isn't interested at least you know and will (and should) move on with your life. This way the is no regrets with the "what if's".
Good luck.

there's no need to compete...just show her that you care...show her that you love her...tell her that you don't want to compete because he might be better than you in these things...but when it comes to feelings...you're a winner.
