I think my best contribution will be loving my son and helping him get the best education he can.

I take my son to zoos, and aquiriums, and soon when hes older musuems and baseball games.

I love my son. My child, he is the promise to the world of the progress of the human race.

I see you a son, and raise you a daughter too. God has blessed me. It is important to teach our kids the important things and ensure their future. They will do all right, they will know the important things in life, the rest of the world can go to to hell.

Contribute to science or culture, the two greatest achievements of the human race. Science is pretty hard to help with if you're not a professional. Culture is easy. Write a novel or play. Form a band. Paint a picture. Anything you do will help humanity in some way.

You can also donate some of your computer's processing power to SETI when you're not using it, they have a download on their website.

Also, do something to prevent global warming. Switch to a 'green' electricity provider. Buy local food. Fly less. Future generations will thank you.

That's awesome! It would be nice to have the ability to make the world an educated and tolerant place on a more global scale, but it needs to start first at home.

Sharing your own knowledge and open-minded views with those around you may seem like too little, too late, but most change, I think, starts locally and then grows.

To make the world a better place, humans need to...stop: threatening each other, becoming insane about religions, saying that everyone else, if they are different, is inferrior, causing wars, and generally abusing people.
Which is going to be hard.

we must make sure our children grow to be intelligent , loving , compassionate human beings who care for the world and all that is in it

what you are doing is great, but always remember that teaching your son to have an open mind to all possibilities is a great gift. Close-minded ness has held us back spiritually and technilogically for centuries. Teaching him to overcome this can let him open his mind to all.
