neither evolution nor id, should be taught in ps
from my experience, the time wasted on these topics would be better used focusing on reading and writing, math, and practical skills that will make the student more able to have gainful employment.
The theories of th origin of life will not ensure a productive human.

ATWolf, have you ever taken a science course or a course on evolution because if you had you would know that almost everything you say is complete crap. Do you know what makes something scientific? Do you understand what empirical evidence is? Clearly not. Evolution by natural selection is a theory, just like gravity is a theory, and despite the common belief that this means something remains unproven, for scientists a theory is an explanatory body of work based on years of evidence from multiple independent scientists. So evolution remains unproven just as much as gravity, or the Earth being round, or the sun being the center of our solar system. To think otherwise shows a gross misunderstanding evolution and lack of knowledge. Read a book on evolution and don't believe everything the media or clergy tell you.

Don't know about that. Don't think so, since when you really break it down, it is only a theory based on faith; you cannot reproduce it in the lab and no one (except God) has ever witnessed it.
But, so is EVOLUTION! It cannot be repeated in the lab (For the record, the fruit flies experiment was MICRO-evolution; they still remained as fruit flies; they didn't change into grasshoppers or butterflies or even houseflies.) and it has never been witnessed. The fossil record should be teeming with millions of transitional forms if it took millions of years for evolution to happen...... and yet we have only a few examples- most of which (if not all) have been disputed as hoaxes and mistakes. So nope, not much witness there.
So I don't think evolution should be taught either- at least not as proven fact.
Call me a fool for not believing in evolution, but you asked the question and I answered.

include Anti-Celebrity Centered Mind instead of that. ID would not be a help for High School. It will only bring confusion since it's opposite Study also bring confusion to many.

If its a scientific theory, then yes. But I think public schools need to take every ahteistic and religious debate into a philosphy class and stop teaching atheistic philosophy in science class trying to pass it off as fact that there is no god.

Good one lmao. Since intelligent design isn't a science...no.
But they should put it in a religion or philosophy class, where it belongs.
I wonder if we will ever have a debate over teaching alchemy in a chemistry class, or astrology in an astronomy class.

Not unless the teacher can come up with an experiment that the class can do and repeat that shows evidence. Otherwise, for the sake of science AND Faith, let’s keep them separate.

Our school came up with the perfect solution. The state says that they can't teach ID in public schools, but it does not mandate that they have to teach evolution. We just skipped that chapter. No complaints from the parents on teaching evolution; no complaints from atheists on teaching ID.

To the degree that there is repeatable, credible,
scientific evidence of Intelligent Design, sure, go ahead
and teach it.
Otherwise, it isn't science, and shouldn't be
taught there.

No because it is not science it is theology. If it must be taught, put it in a humanities or comparative religions class where theological topics belong.

It would only take a few minutes to understand. You wouldn't need an entire year.
