There is no such thing as a free puppy. You must be able to afford proper vet care,food,shelter,parasite preventative...
I budget $1000 a year for each of my healthy dogs and you can bet there will be at LEAST one need for an unscheduled vet visit during the year.

Not free, but adoptable...... usually between $100-$200.

Check out petfinder! Adopting an older dog is nice because you already know the size and if it has a good temperment. But they have puppies, too.

I would contact a local pit bull rescue, that would be the closest to free your gonna get....
