The "things" you mention are products made by man(manmade) using raw (natural) materials or resources. Another way to explain it: from one or several raw materials man is able to transform it into something else.

It is called man made, due to it is made by a individual or group of people by labor of hands....and made from natural materials....It means this was not made by any machines or molds, like the old days taking mud and using it to make bricks to built a house...

Because it was put together by man. Non man-made things are things that occur naturally in the Earth (lava, carbon, helium, bromine, trees, dirt, etc.) A waterslide is man-made, wheras a waterfall isn't.
