Drinking while on Lexapro or any other SSRI isn't reccomended, but it's not going to kill you either.
There are three reasons Lexapro is not reccomended with alcohol: 1) Abusing alcohol while on Lexapro can damage your liver. But for that to happen you'd need to drink a whole lot for a really long time.
2) Since alchol is a depressant, it can counteract the effects of Lexapro for a short time.
3) Lexapro can intensify the effects of alcohol.

That having been said, it's okay to drink while on an SSRI, just don't overdo it.

As to why you're feeling the way you're feeling... I'd guess you're just not used to drinking and your body's not happy about it. It happens. Try drinking some OJ and then eat some nutritious food. You'll be fine in a little while.

Alright Mable you will be o.k. as a rule never mix alcohol with meds. Two weeks ago i drank half a bottle of vodka and then had 300 mg of tramadol which is a (synthetic opioid analgesic) and i had to go to hospital cause i was scared of death/coma, had pins and needles all over my body, was violently vomiting and scratching the skin off my face, now hopefully that makes you feel a bit better. As for lexapro i have had that before but didn't like it much, am now on valium for anxiety and drug withdrawl, that helps me a lot more than any anti depressant. You'll be fine just remember not to mix next time. Just take nice deep breaths, remember that coming off a night of alcohol can give you anxiety as well, especially for people who already suffer from it like you and I.

I used to be on Lexipro and about twice a month I would go out drinking. You 'll be ok just be careful because I have found that sometimes anti depressants (not so much Lexapro as others) really tend to intensify the effects of alcohol.

first of all you should never Drink while on any medications without talking to your Dr. each med effects people differently. you maybe OK or you may go to sleep and never wake up. you really should contact your family Dr that put you on this med or call the er in your area to seek help after all you are underage for drinking and it could really harm you and screw up your body cause alcohol is a depressant and your meds are antidepressants so seek medical advice from a Dr or nurse asap!!!! for your sake and the sake of your family cause i know as a mother how i would feel if my daughter did something like that and didn't wake up. i also know how you feel about needing to be adventurous and all cause i am very close to your age and know how hard things are but think about the future you have and everything you want to accomplish in your life and if you don't wake up then you will never know what you could do and how well you could do it. if your not comfortable about talking to a Dr or nurse talk to your parents they will be able to help you. Best of Luck sweetie.

First of all, you are a bit to young to be drinking. Most likely no serious damage will occur from one episode; however; do not repeat this. You have to take care of yourself. The effects should wear off soon. Good Luck and take care of yourself.

Here again we need to start using common sense YOU NEVER MIX THE PRESCRIPTION WITH ALCOHOL NEVER, now all you can do is wait for the booze to get out of your system continue to take your pill as directed ,BUT STAY AWAY FROM THE ALCOHOL.. I really hope you learned your lesson ,sorry to be so blunt.
