Ok first of all... I'm only 13... Ok there's this guy "Jim" who is almost 18 and I REALLY REALLY like him. Well, I think it's more like I'm obsessed with him. I've talked to him for about a month already and we're friends. He used to like me before he found out I was only 13. He said he would of asked me out if I was older. He also says he'll probably ask me out when I'm around 16, but I don't think I'll still be crushing on him. My friend has e-mailed him and is talking to him. She told me that he told her that he MIGHT ask me out. I have NO IDEA what to do. He's four and a half years older than me and I only see him about once a month if I'm lucky. He says that I'm cute with a great personality. What should I do about him? He was about to ask me out several times, but it never happened. Also, if you think that I should totally forget about being more than friends with him, will you please tell me how? He's not the best looking guy out there, but he's nice, makes me happy and laugh...

Yeah... My parents approve of him. So if I stay friends with him, how can I get over him??? I think I might just ask him out because he'll say yes. My friends have talked to him about me and him and they said that he said that he would go out with me if I asked him. He's just too scared to ask. Also, it isn't illegal for him to DATE me. I emphasize the word DATE. My parents know who he is, too.

Age difference doesnt matter, if you are too young for someone then you want have a crush on them, so if you have a crush on him, you arent too young. Maybe you could ask him out yourself and see what happens.

You're 13 and he's 18. First of all, what state are you in? Make sure you both know the law. I believe he can go to jail for rape. Even if you consented to him being with you, he can be prosecuted for rape especially if your parents don't approve of the relationship.
My advice, find something else to do. Why are you thinking about dating anyway? Where are your parents? This guy obviously has issues if he has to communicate with a 13 year old. For christ sake you're just hitting your teenage years. The guy should be prepareing for college or already in college.
Has your parents talked with you abut the type of characters you should look for in a friend or boyfriend?

Ok first off what's going on here...if it goes further is illegal...and he can get into serious trouble...I'd suggest just being friends with him.
How you might ask...just keep talking to him online...adn find someone else to be interested in...someone more around ur age group...I'm sure a lot of guys out there think you have a great personality and are cute...and can make you happy and make you laugh...
so like i said go back to your age group...

DON'T DO IT! older guys always want something that u shouldn't give 2 any1 but ur husband! only go out with older guys when ur ready 2 get married i mean my mom and her hubby r 9 years apart but ur waaaay 2young 2 be datin older guys

The guy has a head for not going for you when your that young. Dont ruin it for him. Dont make him into a pedophile. If you cant wait that long, then just forget being more than friends.
