Yes Smitty it was a low blow to the cup area without a doubt. Buchanan should have been given a chance by the referee to recover . I still think Duran would have won even though Buchanan was hanging tough. I saw that fight and the referee was clearly wrong by not calling it.

Smitty ~
Absolutely low and it was beautiful how Duran got away with it. Ken should have won, won an Academy Award for that acting job he pulled off. That was the worst acting I've ever seen, the only thing that topped that since was Al Pacino in Godfather 3.

If anyone watches this fight over and over again like I have one would observe that Duran caught Ken right in the middle of the cup and there's no way that shot could've had that type of effect. Watch Golota/Bowe now that's low. I've been hit low plenty in the gym and in fights, and hard and it doesn't feel anything like the way Ken looked. Ken was just quite simply getting beat up and was looking for a out.

Thanks for the question Smitty.

Smitty it was definitely a low blow. Duran pressed the fight the whole night but the gutsy Buchanan was hanging in there. Ken was obviuosly hurt when he was in his corner after the low blow. Do I think Buchanan would've won a rematch? No.

It was a dirty fight fought by Duran. Duran said that Buchanan was the toughest fighter he ever fought. Notice he never gave him a rematch.
