a cough in a puppy is a bad thing. This could mean he has
kennal cough. It is highly contagious to other dogs. Take your
dog to the vet ASAP. The vet will give you some pills to give
your dog and it will eventually go away within a few days you
will see an improvement. This can kill the pup if it is not treated.

Never buy a dog that you heard cough. Make sure also that
the dog is eating. I have had this problem with one of my dogs
before and she almost died. She wouldn't eat or drink cause
she got so sick, and I had to force feed her.

Please go to the vet. It is not a big expence. Probably about
$100.00 or less.

Good Luck

Take it to the vet. No one, not even a licensed veterinarian can give you a diagnosis over a computer screen. Not only is it impossible, it is ILLEGAL. And anyone who is not a veterinarian who is making a diagnosis and telling you how to treat your dog is actually practicing veterinary medicine without a license and that is an offense punishable by law including fines and jail time in most states.

Do the responsible thing and take it to a vet!

This doesn't sound good - I think you should ring the vet for advice. Those symptoms could be a sign of something serious which needs veterinary treatment. Since it's Saturday and the vets might be shut, try googling 'runny nose in dog'.

It is probaly u.r.i. or parvo, either of which needs to be seen and treated by a vet ASAP (as in don't wait till next week to see if it changes). Both things are very common in the vet clinic where i work and both are very contagious so please keep him away from other dogs until you have a doc look at him. While you are there, make sure you get him his shots, as these can very likely save his life if he is exposed again. good luck!

Take him to the vet, we had the same problem with our dog and it was upper respitory infection. She was on an antibiotic and then he said for diarhea either a medication or to take hambuger and cook it without any seasoning and drain, then boil white rice and mix the two together. After a while you can slowly start to mix the pups food with the hamb. mix until he's back on his puppy chow again.

Definitely take him to the vet. These could be signs of parvo or some other serious disease. It could be something as simple as allergies, a cold, or the change in food from what he was eating to the food you are now feeding him. It is much better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck with your puppy.

Hi, I would take him to the vet's straight away for a check up. Did he come from kennels, or was he just from a normal home, you never know his mother might have passed something to him. Good Luck

I hope you have had a visit to the vets. My daughter bought a rottweiller who turned out to have the same symptons, plus a distended stomach. It was several years ago but with medication he pulled through. It turned out to be from a disreputable 'Puppy Farm' I hope you get him sorted x

Runny nose and eyes are things to be concerned with, take him to the vet and make sure he has had injections-if not then get these done!
