I'm going to be out in the sun a lot during softball season, but my uniform might give me a farmer's tan=( I'm also planning on laying out in the sun this summer. I have pretty light skin but I never burn and it takes me a while to get a tan. Any tips on how to get a great (safe) tan this summer? thanks!

I'd rather not go to a tanning salon.

You have probably heard this before: there is no safe tan from the sun! Use lotion that makes you look tan. It is faster, safer, healthier, better...use it!

I have the same thing and I've found that the best tan comes from 30 minute intervals in the sun with sunscreen on. If you go in long periods, it isn't good for your skin. Try lots of short periods. Maybe while you are drying off from the pool, lay out and get one. Hope this helps.

The absolutely best and safest way to tan is to make sure you use sunscreen with a protection of at least 30. Also make sure your skin is well exfoliated when you are laying out in the sign. Uneven dry skin can lead to an uneven tan!

they make great self tanning lotions. just apply it after the shower. might be a little smelly so add your favortie lotion to it. Make sure you rub it in good. they also make a for your face self tanning lotion also. they work wonders. OR you could go spray tanning!

id go to the tanning salon. and i know you said safe tan...but a tanning bed isnt unsafe unless you over do it. you cant go alot or for long periods of time..and if you do go be sure you use a good lotion and drink lots of water to keep your body hydrated.
