breathe in when the photo is taken, it will lift everything in ur body and make u look alive and confident, if you breathe out during a photo u will look tired with bad posture, don't hold your breath cuz then it looks fake.

A good photographer can make you shine in front of the camera. There are lots of things you can do to minimize the shortcomings that all of us have. Lighting and posing and then even some subtle photoshop later on can take care of everything ranging from skin problems to some weight where we don't want it to teeth and bone structure. There are so many variations and techniques, it is hard to answer them in one simple question without knowing what bothers you, but if you find a good pro who is willing to take the time to listen to you and understand your concerns, you will be happy. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself - even hollywood stars look awful when they get up in the morning!

Try posing in front of a mirror to find a signature pose. Have friends take pictures of you with a camera phone and then pick out your best pose and keep it. Believe me, i've been there. Some people just aren't into Photos.

Make sure that you are wearing colors that compliment your skin tone. You look like you would be in the category of colors that would best suit you to be the bold ones, such as black, turquoise, red, etc. Try to stay away from the pastels.

Don"t let your friends take pics of you !!! you take pics YOURSELF! believe me I was like you .. and found out thats the only and better way to take nice pice of yourself!!! :)
