So there's this guy named Matt, He's a grade older but he's 19, I've known him for eight years when I was in third me and his lil bro *my grade* always fought and Matt always defended me. He and I have been really close since then including the fact that he lives a block and a half away.
Lately he's been confusing me, being more protective of me, I've been sick for the last four days missing school, so when I called to see what I missed in our Japanese class, he told me he'll tutor me to catch me up, and he's a great cook and today he offered to make alot of chocolate based sweets. He also likes giving me hugs, teasing me and challenging me to sports that he knows he's better at. And likes to steal my hot chocolate... He treats me differently then his own sister...
But when I asked him to Prom all I got was a "I can't say yes to that just yet."

His brother that I fought with is gay, but his older brother is a huge flirt and likes to flirt with me when I'm there, and his sister is my best friend. But they all know that I like Matt....

Wake up Girl, He's in love with you. So how do you feel about him? Here's how I see it, he's protective of you, wanting to be around you regardless of you being sick or not, showing how he can provide by cooking for you, giving you sweets anyone thinking "be my Valentine"? Giving you hugs is like a cheap feel but still legal. picking on you by teasing you like a 4th grader, not afraid to drink after you, of course he treats you differently than his sister he's not in love with her!
The prom thing, I think you just threw him for a loop, maybe he wanted to ask you. Try writing him a letter to him, telling him how you feel,

THat kinda means right now your like his little sister and you both have a good relationship as friends you wouldnt wanna mess up your brother and sister relationshi.like when you fall hes there to catch you.Just if he says no let it rest for the best

he probably thinks of you more as a friend because he has know you for a long time. You should wait before you ask him again. You should also try too be the first too hug him. Make him know that your interested in him.

I think your friend is right- he doesnt want to ruin your friendship by being more- or it could be awkward for him, because he prob. sees you as more like a little sister than anything else.

apparently he is just playing hard to get. so you need to play his game until he folds. soon or later, he will have an answer, and by the way he answered you the first time, its gonna be good. as said in casanova " you need to be the flame, not the moth"

hmm...i think he likes u a lot... it is a genuine friendship. If u want him to date u, then i suggest u to convey him that ur relationship will not destroy the friendship. but if he is still fear, then wait for it. he will ask u one day for it... until then enjoy the friendship!! u r lucky to get this guy...:)

Age is a big factor. Ask yourself... when will I be legal for him to be intimate with? Cause that is what he's waiting for.
