It depends on the bread but from my experience with animals females are easier to train. All animals are different. Ive had about 6 males 3 were good dogs and easy to deal with. Ive had 3 feamale dogs and had no problem wiht them at all. so Male dogs arent so much not as smat but they are males they want to do what they want.

Well with the breed of dog that we have females are better. I have a German Short Hair and females are better hunters and have a better nose. We have had 2 females and 1 male. The females listen better, but they can be moody. Other than that I believe that both are about equaly in smarts. you just have to work with them alot.
