They'd both be out of commission with fatalities. Regarding which has more potential to cause damage based on pure force calculated by Mass X Acceleration, the A380 would win. Even by pure momentum, calculated by 1/2Mass X Velocity squared, it seems that the A380 would win. Based on structure, I don't know how to compare the tensile strength of carbon-composite frames to aluminum. However, if I were to consider Airbus's previous structural failure on A320s, aluminum may have the upper hand and 747 has more aluminum than carbon-composite parts.
Overall A380 would cause more damage, but because carbon-composites might have less tensile strength, there is just a sliver of hope you might survive in the 747. The next question is where to bury the survivors. Just kidding :D

Neither would "survive", they would both crash out of the sky. However, upon impact, the A380 might sustain more damage because it's made of fiberglass, and I'm pretty sure that Boeing 747's are made out of aluminum. So, the A380 would probably shatter, and the 747 would get dented. Then they'd probably both blow up, and it would be all over.

I am afraid you end up with a mess like the one that happened on the canaries island at tenerife airport in 1977. Two 747's collided during take off in a fog there were few survivors in comparison to the number of passengers.

Come on. Sounds to me like you get a kick out of such serious stuff. If you want your question answered...Google-search this...'747 crash at Tenerife, Canary Islands'..two 747's, KLM and Pan American Airlines collided due to garbled tower instructions and pilot error...what a mess it caused.

Most likely both aircraft would be written off as total losses but it also depends on what angle and what speed the aircraft hit each other. Hopefully this does not ever happen.

This isnt bumper cars, airplanes cant hit eachother and be fine... Both airplanes would be destroyed if it happened in flight... on the ground, the aircraft who's wing hits the other planes fuselage would be least damaged... it would still be damaged...
