you need to wait untill you are 18 years of age . Otherwise the 34 year old one will land in jail

I don't know the state laws in MI or VA, but I know some states consider 17 legal for those purposes. However, although I realize you are not asking about this end of things, I wonder about a 34 year old with a 17 or 18 year old. I question motives and/or the maturity of the 34 year old.

Check the age of consent laws in those states.

Then decide if a 17 year old and a 34 year old are looking for the same things from a relationship.

Age of concent varies from state to state. Beyond that though you are a minor and he is an adult. Until you are 18 there are probably any number of ways being involved with you could get him into trouble. Once you turn 18, you are free to do what you see fit. HOWEVER...You need to be careful with this guy! As we get older age differences mean less and less, but when you are 17 even small differences can mean a lot! HE knows this! You don't yet, but you likely will soon. Don't rush into anything.

Yes, you're under 18 and not an adult in the eyes of the law. Your 34 year old honey would be breaking the law for starters.

If you are under 18, he could get in trouble if you become intimate. He is really too old for you and he might be moving away. Don't get involved with him. Find someone closer to your own age.

When I was that age, I would have thought it creepy to be in a relationship with someone that much older - to this day, I won't date anyone more than 5 years older than me...someone I would definitely have a lot more in common with than someone who is old enough to have fathered someone my age. And if he should want to pursue a relationship with someone that much younger, I'd have to wonder about his mental stability.

I really think that it is a huge age difference not to mention the maturity level.. but you need to be 18.. also don't expect that people will look with him with shame.. really shame on him, you you don't know any better but he sure does!! .. I'm sure everyone is telling you this already, you need to go out with a boy your own age.. there goes my points!!!!! I really don't care about the points.. The point is you need to be 18. and again shame on him!
