I have a craving for alfredo but don't have parmesan cheese and am too lazy to go buy some. The only cheese i have is mexican blend, will the alfredo sauce still taste ok if i use this?

It won't taste the same, but it sounds really intriguing. I mean, alfredo is just a cheese sauce made with Parm. So with the Mexican blend you'll just have a zippy cheese sauce instead. I'd give it a try, definitely! You might have just stumbled on something great.

You'll get a nice alternative to the Alfredo, but it won't taste the same. Mexican Blend cheeses have 3 or 4 types of cheese in them, none of which has the same bite and fullness as parmesan. Should be tasty though!

It won't taste like Alfredo sauce for sure! It will still make a nice sauce. And you might stumble on to something really great or gross. Try it and see! I would... That's how the majority of dishes were discovered.

It wont taste the same, but will still be good. I make cheese sauce using different cheese sauces all the time.
