When one of their loved ones die, they will say that they know that person is now in a better place in heaven. But that's just something they believe to make themselves feel better. No one truly knows what happens after death, but I think all evidence points against an afterlife.

Yes.
When I didn't believe I was lucky enough to be able to check it out. Satan is such a wimp, I kicked his butt before I realized my mistake.
To have freewill God had to create a minimum of two choices, heaven and hell. We actually make the choice where we go by our choices.
At first I couldn't figure out why Satan was such a wimp, then standing there looking around at hell I realized what Christ meant by the whole love thy enemy thing. Everything in hell is about conflict, fighting, arguing, debate. It is one giant chaotic soap opera of conflict. No wonder all "interesting stories" revolve around conflict and why people are sinners, conflicted. The conflict was so big because the only way Satan could keep control was to keep everyone fighting against everyone else. He just doesn't have the strength to control all those souls.
I believe God does, but, he wouldn't make that choice. God wants harmony.
Nothing makes Satan angrier than a sincere and loving hug because it means the choice is made away from him.
I might not be perfect, but, I know why Satan is necessary and I understand why the choices are available, so I can make the right one.
I hope you do to.

Yes, Yes, YES; read Dr. Maurice S. Rawlings books "Beyond Death's Door and "To Hell and Back" He was a heart surgeon and saw many patients die and resussitated them.
They told him about their experiences in Heaven or Hell during the first few minutes after resussitation but then after that they could not remember, especially the Hell experiences.

Jesus and Satan. We definately know where they are going. As for the rest that is God to judge but we have a good idea with some people based on what is written in Scripture.

I like to think all good people go to Heaven, Christian or not. But of course nobody can ever prove that until it's happened to them, and unfortunately it's too late then!! Doh!

No, we do not. None of us are privy to that information, and none of us can judge who is or who is not in either 'place'
Only God knows, and those who say they know for certain are deluding themselves.
