i think im overreacting but i don't know
i went to ask my parents a homework question and when i was done i just sat for a while doing nothing
and they were like, you are done with your questions so now go back to your room
WHY ARE THEY SO EAGER TO PUSH ME AWAY! oh my god!

I can not answer for your parents as to why they did tell you that. But I can tell you this .... you did nothing wrong!
Actually, I think you would be the ideal kid for anyone ... I enjoy talking to my kids and reconnecting with them but I think they get annoyed with me and are always anxious to be left alone to be on the computer, listen to their ipods or chat with their friends. Sometimes helping my kids out with homework is the only time that I can at least talk to them.
The only explanation that I can think of for your parent's reaction is that at times, we grown ups have so much on our minds that we really don't realize what we do or say. I am sure that it was not intentional ... and I am sure that it is not always like that, maybe they needed to discuss something that they did not want to overwhelm you with.
Don't give up .... next time there is some down time and everyone is calm, let them know how you felt. Explain to them just as you have now.
Many parents would welcome the opportunity to have some time with their kids to talk and just be brought up to date.

They probably meant if you were asking a homework question, then you were probably doing homework. By sitting there doing nothing doesnt get your homework done. Some parents dont know how to communicate.

Parents are not perfect and it's not your fault. They sound like my parents and maybe they were in the middle of fighting about something and did not want you to know about it. You will always have people who hurt your feelings that's only part of being human. Remember your a good person! Good Luck.

Maybe they are discussing about something. There is this period of time when everyone cant stand their parents.

Maybe they wanted to talk about grown-up stuff. Or they just wanted time too there self.
