Will that be cause nowadays it is too difficult to fight the world and still have to protect someone else? Or maybe it is just cause an independent woman will mean "less hard work", "less things to worry about"? Or could it still be because women are giving themselves out completely without males having to get any involved at all? Or the feminist revolution has changed the world for ever and - period- ? What is your opinion?

women who are either 'dependent' or 'independent' are both stuck in a way of being which is no fun and can be potentially scary to others

stuck people don't usually know they are stuck but instead justify their position and fight to be right

my preference is a woman who can float from dependent one moment to independent the next with play grace and ease AND who can also be beyond both those frameworks at times, just being

Why is the world against old-fashioned men who want to be the bread-winner and feel needed, because they tend to be controlling? There are different levels of dependant and independant and I think women can be both strong and soft. I am a strong woman but I love the fact that my man is stronger than me, I wouldn't respect him and trust him to take care of me if he wasn't. I was a completely independant woman before him so I'm not worried about falling apart like a glass figurine.

Dependant women usually rely on the guy for everything. And if anything happens to the guy (break-up, death, bankruptcy) the woman will not know what to do. It is a lot to do to take care of a dependant woman somtimes, because they can demand so much or get spoiled easily. Of course, this isn't the only reason.

EVERYONE is afraid of dependent women. There is no virtue in needing a guy for anything (except breeding) when it's easier and more rewarding to do it yourself. Guys like independent women because they're more challenging. I am a woman who would only ever want a man for one thing. And if you can't guess what it is, I pity you.

I don't know what goes thru other peoples minds. I don't know if they have fear of the woman or the relationship. I only know what I believe; I don;t have fear because, "Prefect love casts out all fear." I know what I want and what I'm looking for so I don't need to go thru all those changes. I see all women as sisters. If one should become a best friend then it may go from there to lifetime partners but only GOD knows and I'm on a "Need to know basis." He shows me as I need to know.

Because men are looking for a partner---not raise one. You look for a partner that you want to raise a family with---and if you do die--will be strong enough to carry on and raise the children. Not, a glass doll that will fall apart at the first sign of adversity .
