I'm trying to get a p2p file sharing program and nothing is working. I've tried Morpheus, Bearshare, Blubster, and others but after they search and find a file none of the programs will actually connect to a user and download it. Limewire won't even connect! I've been troubleshooting (adding exceptions to my firewall, opening ports, etc.) and I've come to the conclusion that the network at my university (I have high speed internet in my dorm in college) probably blocks my ability to transfer files in a p2p program. Is there anything I can do to get past this or any other program that could make it work?
Thanks!

This would be somewhat difficult. Try BitTorrent. Search for services which use normally open ports (like 80) to transfer the files.

faculties are smaller, oftentimes are purely 2-years-long, and/or do not grant tiers BA/BS. a school is greater and provides even though a school supplies and extra. It s like a city VS an entire state, or it s like a state VS an entire united states. faculties are subsequently especially much consistently extra high priced and the forms of faculties human beings surely stay at of their dorms. faculties are oftentimes for locals that shuttle. for sure it is in basic terms a crude generalization yet you purchased the component, so, you re performed. Now %. a school that superb suits you're wish your mommy and daddy can turn the bill. in any different case welcome to the depressing actual international of infinite costs and financing and money owed and unfavorable credit. The reason they do this is because it's illegal. Also, by trying to circumvent the campus computer security in order to commit a crime, you're running the risk of being expelled, or at least facing disciplinary action. At my university you would get one warning and your ethernet connection would be terminated for the rest of the school year, and you'd have a written reprimand placed in your file. The second offense leads to disciplinary action. Third offense and you're expelled. That's in addition to the lawsuits you may be facing for copyright infringement. You're also leaving your school vulnerability to a lawsuit if you use their equipment to commit a crime.

Good luck, easier just to be there then to try to explain it. It all depends on what firewall they have, and what methods they use.

Ask you sys-admin. I'm sure he/she will be glad to help you with avoiding the inconveniences of not having p2p.
