Is this a question? It doesn't appear to be a question just a brat whining!

What your mom says pretty much goes. Deal with it.

If you want a dog to play with and care for, then volunteer for the local Humane Society, SPCA or a rescue organization.

Then, when you're old enough and have your own place, you can get your own dog. But at that point you'll be too busy partying to want to bother with a dog. Even the one you want now.

Then you're out of luck until you mom changes her opinion or you move out. She probably assumes that she and not you will bear the bulk of the responsibility for the care. Try volunteering at a local shelter or for a local rescue to show her you are responsible and can properly take care of a pet, just because you do extra homework does not mean you will be able to properly take care of a pet. They're time consuming and expensive to maintain their health with vaccinations, etc. Do you have a job yet? If not consider the cost of all of that is going to fall on your mom and thats not fair to her if she doesn't want a dog.

yes mom is always right. having said that, you can make a case for yourself in a mature and RESPONSIBLE way. this is called DEBATING, not arguing. make a list of all the pros's and con's of having a puppy. agree to both of you writing and signing a contract regarding the care of and training of your puppy.understand this is a contract, not just a passing want. new puppies cost money, with vet bills, shots and other things that might come up. think of work your mother does around the house, when the vet bills come in agree to work off the bill.getting a new puppy is all for you, think about what your mother can get out of the deal. put yourself in her shoes. if you can do all this, and she agrees, i would op for a very small breed. they are loving, cute and if they do act up, such as barking, having little accidents or just being in the way, all will be on a smaller scale. if your mom just doesn't think you are ready, don't be despaired, you have all your life to love all the pets you want. trust you mom. if you do win this DEBATE, stick to your word, life lesson 101. make a happy home for everyone. if not, you can get a pet when you are on your own, believe me either way, you WILL understand the meaning of responsibly. good luck, let us know how it goes.

Go to mom ,ask her is there anything you can do to change her mind, read books ,volunteer to take neighbor dogs for a walk, go to the dog pound and see just what hard work it takes to care for a dog, they are a lot of work and money, ask if you can dog set ,then you will get a good idea of what it takes, many times we get our kids pets and after a few weeks the pet becomes the parent's responsibility, but most of all mom has to last word

Just because you're good in school doesn't mean you're responsible.

Maybe your mom isn't ready to have a dog in the house.

I would just wait. She probably has a good reason to wait.

And dogs are really really expensive

The shots, the spaying/neutering, the food...it's all super expensive.

I have a dog, but I had to wait to get one, and it was worth it, so I think you should just respect your mom's word. She probably knows what she's talking about, she's lived longer.

listen to your mom.
There's more than you may know about caring for a dog. A dog has to be able to run & have exercise. Then there's the expense of the vet & medications. Do you do your chores without having to be told every day?

Oh puleez. Your mom for sure would not want a canine, and he or she is in basic terms finding for some excuses so she would not in basic terms could inform you no. Slobber: I surely have owned canine my entire existence. the only canine I surely have good now that slobbers is the australian shepherd, and he or she purely drools on the canine park (bypass parent...) Poop: sometimes my shih tzu's poo sticks to his bum, yet I shop him trimmed and it *infrequently* occurs, if ever. None of my seven different canine have this undertaking. Ever. grimy: I bathe my canine on each and every occasion they experience greasy or look grimy. So my canine have especially much NO puppy smell in any respect. Licking: I especially much on no account enable my canine lick me. To me it fairly is totally gross. So, my canine do not lick me. My siberian husky, and my australian shepherd the two sparkling themselves like cats. heavily. My aussie will come interior muddy as may well be, and then she would be in a position to lick herself sparkling. No kidding.

I would have to agree with your mom. If she says that you can't have a dog, it is for a reason. I got my kids pets, and they love them for all of a week, then after that, I am stuck taking care of the animal.
