i am not a catholic but am spiritual,my confession is to my God personally if i feel that God wants me to confess to another i do but i confess and pray to him i am not wanting to be mean but have never understood confession in catholic religion,i dont understand saying Hail Marys and things like that

Confess sins that you've committed not those things. Is about confessing not gossiping.

I would only confess to that which offends God.
It's not a time to discuss things you want to have or think about.
