Put a little bit of hair spray in your hair when it is wet then take a brush and brush it and and dry it at the same time.

Yes, what you are gonna need is: a good brush and a blowdryer. It would not hurt to apply a product to the hair that will make iteasier to straighten the hair, look at your local drug store or at a salon (Tigi makes one, it comes in a bottle and has sparkling green color but goes on clear.) Basically you have to blowdry the hair as you brush it. Afterwards, apply a finishing creme (I like John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette) to make look less dry.

I think it may depend on the type of hair...

But when I get out of the shower, I blow dry my hair, from the roots to the ends, and run a brush through it at the same time.

Blow it straight yourself or in a salon. I heard when you use conditioner and leave it on for 30mins/day, it'll be straight itself. Not sure if it's a fact though. I heard singer BoA did that like a few years ago, she's real old.

A relaxer, at the salon, or wash it and blow dry it. If you don't want to risk damage to your hair i would recommend going to a salon and asking which is best. they are the professionals
