No, not at all. The mega churches get a lot of press, and if you live near any (I live in Texas, we have a majority of the largest in the country) they are very noticeable, to say the least.
But, it is the average size church that is declining, while the smallest and the largest are the ones that are growing.
to be considered a large church (for research) you need an attendance of 2000+. A small church is defined as below 50.
Seems to be an either or situation.
Sunday school attendance is declining in some denominations and growing in others.

Not in small towns, thankfully. I live in a small town, go to a small church, and can't even imagine going to one of those mega churches. Sunday school is important to me cause I'm a horrible teacher, and I want my son to learn about God. I grew up in a city, going to a large church, but it wasn't a "mega church", and I find I like the small ones better.

No. I know a lot of people who prefer the intimacy of a small church. At my church, Sunday school is one of the main reasons people attend.

Its sad to say but it looks that way. Many people who like the bigger churches do so because of the amenity and not being held responsible. Its easy to hide there. I think we need to start new house churches to prop up the Kingdom with some real believers. There are too many posers today.

There are no churches for my faith! So why are there churches for yours? Surely churches are a symbol of control? and sunday school is just another form of brainwashing?
In this modern world, churches and sunday schools serve no other purpose but to breed hatred, intolerance and misinterpretations!
