most probably that software you deleted still have another software that still running in the system.

reboot but do not open the subjected folder. instead, to go SEARCH folders and files. type the file or folder and then delete it in the SEARCH window

CRC errors indicate that the file / folder is corrupted. The easiest way to remove it is to create an MS-DOS startup disk. The MS-DOS startup disk you create will allow you to boot into MS-DOS. To make:

Insert a floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive. Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it. On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format.
Under Format options, click Create an MS-DOS startup disk and Click Start.

You will need to know some basic MS-DOS (google for them) commands to continue.

Reboot your PC with the new floppy and go to Drive C: and look for the Program Files folder (Use the DOS command:dir) and open it (Use the DOS command:cd program files). Use the DOS command:dir again and you should see the folder you want to delete. Use the DOS command: erase "foldername" (substitute the actual foldername here) and it should be gone.

Remove the floppy and reboot into Windows and verify that the folder is gone.

Cyclic redundancy, from my experience is not related to a hard to remove file, but it could be I've missed that one. Go to FileHippo.com and down load wholockme, unlocker, suredelete, take your pick, one of them should work.If you can 'explore" the folder, try deleteing one part at a time, sometimes that works. If not, better try one of the above.
