I just can't believe what he told me. If God is our Creator, then how on God's earth would he just allow one person to know Him? What about the rest of the human race that He allowed to live here?

What about the ones who are born that can't read? Are you saying it's impossible to know God?

Here is what Peter, one of Jesus' discples had to say about this...

II Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

If your BF happens to be the Messiah, then he could make that claim....for a little while. There are two Messiahs, who team up in their last life. This is from Zechariah 4:

12And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the LORD of the whole earth.

If your BF happens to be one of those two "anointed ones," and the other is yet to be anointed, then he could make that claim. Of course the odds of him being one of those two are so astronomical that most people wouldn't even consider it as possible, and simply write him off as a nut case.

Some people might also discount his claim because they think that they know God, already. That's a nice gesture, but it's not reality for anyone, until the Messiahs show up and enlighten them. That's when the One Religion that everyone is looking forward to begins.

So those who claim to know God now, are mistaken and convinced through brainwashing.

For example, Christians claim that they know God through Jesus Christ, and the books that were written regarding his teachings. Unfortunately for them, Jesus' last name wasn't Christ, and he was only one of the Messiahs. So they only know part of the story. In order to claim that you know God, requires that you know ALL of the story.

There's a lot that Christianity leaves out of the story, besides the second Anointed One. But that's enough to make the point.

Regards,

Chris

RUN! RUN NOW! RUN FAR AWAY FROM HIM!!

Your boyfriend is a religious fanatic - a zealot - a madman.
Beware - be aware - that he may become more deluded and dangerous. The voices are not real. He may hear them, but it might not be GOD talking to him.....
Beware beware!!

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder most commonly characterized by a subject's obsessive, distressing, intrusive thoughts and related compulsions (tasks or "rituals") which attempt to neutralize the obsessions. Thus it is an anxiety disorder.

You are right: That doesn't make sense at all. Sounds to me like your boyfriend is pretty full of himself.

I think people define "knowing God" quite differently, but since nobody has actually met God, the term is often used for people who are Christians. That would apply a couple of more people than your boyfriend.

God knows and loves each and every one of us. And we to can get to know him if we but follow his commandments. God will not stop anyone who desires to know him from learning. If you want to know God then the best place to start is by reading what He has told mankind in the past. I have included a link to a site that has the scriptures online.

Your boyfriend is a doofus, and there's no way he's the only human being on Earth that knows the Creator. SHE'd kick him to the curb...take the hint!

I know God and I'm not the arrogant friend who thinks he's the only one who knows God. Read the Bible and you'll find out for yourself.
