Someone at work told me this, and that is why coffee does not get me too wired. I tend to reheat the coffee, cup by cup, in the microwave, rather than keeping it hot for long periods in the pot.

No, caffeine is quite heat-stable, though this is a common myth. On the other hand, the coffee doesn't taste as good. A vacuum-insulated carafe is a better option.

there is no reason that reheating the coffee should have an effect on the caffiene, however, im not sure how stable caffiene is so over time the caffiene component may degard, so that when you reheat the fluid after some hours, some of the active ingredient will have been destroyed.

Considering what it takes to removed caffene from coffee I would say that the people who let the coffee stand keeping hot get a more concentrated dose of caffee than you do because other stuff evaporates. This is assuming you don't boil it each time, but just hot enough to drink.

Caffeine is not destroyed, but some flavor ingredients are destroyed. Freshly brewed coffee tastes the best.

No!! I drink alot of timmies...I mean alot...bzzzz...and sometimes I can't drink it all before it gets cold....I reheat it. Does nothing to the caffine level. Maybe you just have a higher level of tolerance for caffine?
