i'm a amature dj wanting to record my music through my pc.Are there any free programmes that will record streight to mp3 format?

try xpcdpro, it works great, it can convert any sound to a different format....hope this helps......Steve

quite a few programs to do this - if you have windows Media Player (most do) then you can also set that up to record to MP3 rather than the windows format.

tools/options/rip music and select the format you want

Go to switch.com. You can even change the format of songs you already have downloaded. They have extras you can down load too. I made my own ringtone for my phone.
