Apart from the obvious answer of "im looking for a father figure" (which i dont believe for one minute) are there any scientific reasons why I find older men more appealing...always have done since I was younger. If someone asked me to say what my upper age limit was if Im being totally honest, if he was attractive and I liked him I guess 60 wouldnt bother me. I do find younger men attractive but the older ones are just hmmmmmm.

I know what you mean about the father figure part. I like older men too and I have a perfectly good father figure called Dad, I dont need another!
My fella is 32 years older than me. Im 24 he is 56. I love him for many reasons, but I think the things that set him apart from men my own age is that he is much more settled and happy in his own skin. He has done so many fascinating things and shares all of his tales with me, and takes me to the places that are special to him. Also, he doesnt sulk, throw tantrums or try and twist arguments! Everything is straight up and down!
And, I wont even get started on the bedroom gymnsatics but lets just say stamina must improve with age! ;-)

I know exactly what you mean. When I was younger and dating - I usually sought out older men. And it wasn't because I was looking for a father figure either!
Older men have experience - they know how to treat a woman. They will treat you with respect, they will listen to you because you aren't their wife; they are happy to be with a "intelligent, beautiful, younger woman"; they automatically know that since you two are out on a date, he will take care of everything - he didn't forget and leave his bill folder at home! (You know you've heard that from some young guy before - you just want to smack em!).
An older guy has life lessons that he can share with you or some words of wisdom that he can give you if you're going through something.
Girl - variety is the spice of life - you make yourself happy - if an older man does it at this point and time of your life - do what you wanna do!

It is a basic biological drive. The older man would be a better provider and your offspring will probably live where others wont. But you have to realize that when men were chasing down sabertooth tigers the "older man" was about 25 or 30 at the outside. In this day and age the older man can still provide well into his 60's.

Older men have a lot going for them - ignore anyone who says otherwise. Age really is in the head - I know men of 30 who think and act like they're 70, and I know a guy in his mix-sixties who could pass for 40 and goes on adventure holidays, bunjee jumping, toboganning, etc. There's also something that I love about older men - they are just so much more INTERESTING! They've been to places, seen a lot more, have much more informed opinions and tend to not worry about running with the crowd and being liked - so they think for themselves and have a lot more wisdom. They're also much more patient with people and have more time for conversation.
I don't know of any scientific reasons why older men should be more appealing unless of course, in biological terms one could say that they are better providers and have better nests (presumably if one was thinking in bird terms!), but overall I just think that they are more fun and a million times more interesting that younger men who are fixated on sex, football, their image, etc.

I think older men are just more of a gentlemen like they will open your doors stuff like that.. The younger ones seem to not really care, they are a lot of fun but they are not grounded. If you want someone grounded I would go for an older guy!

Older men are definitely more caring of you and not likely to cheat, very glad that you have that sort of wise thinking in relationship. Anyway, you must be happy, regardless of the men age. That 's the most important in a relationship.

U will ave a more secure life with an older man as a lot of younger guys spend money as if its going out of fashion, also the fact that he has a younger lady that loves him and is always by his side will boost his ego and will treat u like a proper lady.

I'm sure that an older man will be able to look after you a lot better than a younger man. He will be more considerate and treat you like a lady.

I used to be like you. Older guys were more mature, more interesting, had their act together. Now I prefer younger men because they are more fun, more interesting, still have stamina in bed, and I don't care if they have their act together.
