Even the German and commercial Russian Makarovs are not known for their 'high quality', and many of the East European clones go down-hill from there. Adding insult to injury, most price tags of those Mak's available border on the obscene. A Russian IJ-70 on GunBroker.com now has a tag of over $550, over the price of a GLOCK, for crying out loud!
Any of these commie relics are demanding far greater prices than they could possibly be worth, in my book. DOUBLY so with their Commie AMMO chambering! I had a high-cap IJ-70 years ago, and was GLAD when it was stolen, to get rid of it for the insurance. I hope it screws up on the fricken thief the way it did on ME, ESPECIALLY if it gets the bastardo SHOT.
If I was looking for a pocket auto, a Makarov would be one of my LAST choices, with all the Glocks and other compacts on the market at such comparable prices!
If you MUST have one, go to GunBroker.com and run a search for Makarov's.

Simpson-Suhl of Germany made some in the 1990s that were the same quality of the old East German models. Stay away from the Bulgarian models, as they are the crudest. "Excellent condition" is a tall order for those guns.
