my daughter accidently put a package of eggs in our big freezer yesterday instead of our extra refrigerator when we were putting away groceries. Does anyone know if they will still be good or if we need to just throw them away?

I freeze eggs all the time... Just NOT in the shell...

Simply put them in a bowl and thaw them out. You can use them for baking anything you use eggs in. You can make french toast with them or even egg drop soup.

Really the only thing you CAN"T do with them is make a good fried egg out of them. So just thaw them and pour them into a zip lock bag and re-freeze if you aren't going to be baking in the next few days.

I always buy eggs when super low priced and freeze. Just one more reason I have the money I have !!

Good Luck and happy cooking.

They are OK. Put the ones you want to eat in a bowl or Ziploc bag. The eggs are probably cracked and putting them in something is a good idea to keep them from leaking all over everything else. Place that in the refrigerator to thaw out. Then use like you normally would. Just make sure they are cooked thoroughly, because the outside of the shell is were you can get salmonella from. No over easy! Use scrambled or used in baking.

Take it easy on your daughter. She was really trying to help!

No matter how many peeps tell me they are good when thawed, I wouldnt eat them. Eggs dont cost that much.

On the other hand, you might just start a new fad.....Eggsickles anyone?

I'm impressed if they didn't expand and crack the shells.
