cutting hair yourself, can be tricky .
Always best, to have it done professionally
when my baby's were, at the "pull mummy's hair" stage
i wore my hair back in a pony tail
Plaits ( pig-tails ) were no use !
as they were grabbed , and swung on by my babies
scheeeesh! they have strong grips, for tiny mites .
The simplest thing you can do, is have your hair cut and styled .
Congratulations on your new baby son
and good luck with the hair !!

Don't cut for this reason. Keep your kid's hands occupied with some toys when you r close to him. Or just enjoy the moment, coz there is a long way for u to go and each milestone of ur kid would be something u will enjoy only later.

this is really only temporary situation, however if you really want to cut consider letting a professional or talented friend do it (even alot of hairdressers don't do major changes on their own), and then you should be able to maintain on your own.

I would wet it and just put it in a ponytail and cut it straight across for whatever length that you want.
