YES, humans are a part of this eco system and being the most intelligent has the most responsibility to prevent it and protect it. Instead humans are the one who are destroying it, beyond repair. All humans should act wisely to protect our eco system other wise we will not be able to safe guard the eco system for our younger generation.

Unfortunately humanity has a unique flaw....it stretches it's transitional zones of compatibility with almost every reliant / relevant ecosystem supportive of it.

But...Yes. We are intricately a part of the worlds ecosystems,...and No, the systems do not depend on us,...what ever system we destroy gives an advantage to another,...and the 'new' exponentially develops, until it fills the void.

"systems"....'eco systems'.. ..systematiclly evolving and changeing and developing and altering and comming and going..No.. they do not depend on us for any thing.

Here is Mother Natures idea of 'God'..Life Will Find A Way...

Humanity's idea that a way will be made for it's existence and it's husband-ship of earth and cosmic laws is a religious concept, not a very practical one, tho. So far.

in the calenders of evolution, humanity is a very recent species,
and such an exploitive one..!!!..

as an environment consuming animal, we literally exploded on the earth.. and are exhausting one habitat..after another

as a spiritualistic consciousness, we have yet to approach our possibility's, or our potentiality.. stagnating in 2000 year old doctrines,..not maturing as well as we might have done..

as an intellectually Superior animal, we have fallen in love with our own image, have concept-ed a power beyond Nature, and worship it...

but ...this is just how things seem to this ol half breed..what the heck do i know.

All organisms living together in an area are part of the same ecosystem. However, humans have tried to distance themselves from nature. They consider themselves above nature and ecosystems. As man is the only animal capable of intellect, the fate of an ecosystem does depend on him. Sadly, man not only separates himself from the ecosystem but also destroys it for his own benefit. He must understand that he is a part of the ecosystem, and if he destroys it, it will inevitably bring about his own end. We are seeing this already with the rise of temperatures, uneven rainfall, depleting resources, soil erosion etc.

Absolutely humans are part of the ecosystem. Humans have over-populated the earth and destroyed many ecosystems. When enough are gone, we will be too.
