Definitely avoid all food and drink that are high in acids and have rough or sharp textures.

What a great friend. Be aware that Strep is very contagious. But by all means go take care of your friend. Cold wet things are great. like freezer pops. juice, puddings went down good for me. I get serious strep 2-4 times a year, Iam just passing on what works for me. It hurt for me to swallow at all but pudding seem to be the smoothest for me. But please this stuff can cause really serious heath problems if your friend has not seen a doctor. If this friend can not afford it here is a Alternative antibiotic.Cheaper than a doctor and works just as well as prescription. Does cost about $28-30.00. you can get from Titan laboratories. It is called OPTI-CILLIN. You can look and order from the net. I buy it from my doctor does alternitve , and i have got it straight from Titan lab. on the net.

If she has strep throat and hasn't gone to the doctor, she HAS to go do the doctor. It can become something worse if she doesn't get a shot or medicine. If she has and you want to know about foods and such, I know I was sick to my stomach while I had strep, so get some ginger ale and some light foods that she can eat. Also, nothing that'll be too harsh on her throat.

Don't go too near your friend. It sounds horrible but everyday actions like sneezing, coughing or shaking hands can spread the disease, and definetely don't let her breathe on you or over you.

Your friend needs to take antibiotics - always read the label - and plenty of rest and FLUIDS, such as water, is needed even though your friend might not feel like drinking at the minute.

Hope Your Friend Makes A Speedy Recovery =) xx

A good choice of action to relieve the symptoms would be a humidifier. This loosens the mucus in their throat. Another good way to make them feel better is orange juice. This is because orange juice is thick and will help clear out their throat. Laying down won't help them, just cause them to feel more congested.

I hope this helps!!! =)

She should go to the doctor. That is a very dangerous disease if it's not treated right away. It could spread into other parts of her body and she could die. After she goes to the doctor then she should drink lots and lots of water and lots if rest and sleep.

good luck!

just make sure that u don't make her talk too much cause it might hurt her throat, let her rest for most of the day, and let her eat food that is easy to swallow.
