Veterinary schools are often harder to get into than medical schools so keep those grades up and take lots of Biology and other sciences. Some Latin will help too. Your looking at 4 years undergrad and 3-4 grad.

You need to be in the top of your class in highschool with a strong science and MATH!!! background! Then you need to find an undergraduate university (and attend for 3-4 years) that has coursework to be considered appropriate "pre-requisite" classes for the Veterinary School you wish to attend (each vet school has different pre-requisite courses, so you need to make sure you take the right classes and that they will transfer).
You will also need to take the GRE (Graduate Record Exam - like the SAT for graduate school) or the VCAT (a veterinary exam, like the MCAT for applying to medical school). Some schools will also have an interview process AFTER filling out a 20+ page application with essays and other difficult questions.
Then... IF you get accepted... be prepared for 4 of the hardest years of your life... and that's just the beginning. As my best friend's dad said, once you graduate, your education is just beginning.
All groomers are NOT dumb... the groomer I take my dog to did a 1 year intensive grooming school program and another year of an apprenticeship. She's awesome and very smart! It all depends on how much schooling you want to put yourself through!

get good grades in highschool, then look forward to 4 years undergrad and another 4 years in veterinary school. to be a "qualified vet" is just as much work and study as there is to be a "qualified people doctor". if you are truly passionate about being a professional in the treatment of disease in domestic animals and have the brains, then go for it, and leave the grooming to someone who dropped out of school

First get really good grades in school now. Then talk to your guidance person in your school she or he can tell you of the best vet. schools in your area or near by states. Graduate from High school, then you are looking at 4 years of college, then off to vet school.
You should have a strong background in science. This will only help you out. Also talk to your vet and ask them where they went to school. Get on your computer and look at the different schools
then make a copy of them and talk to people in that profession.

Take a degree in veterinary science. Unfortunately this is not available in Singapore. You have to take the course abroad.
