Crackers, cookies, snack bars, granola bars......they all have partially hydrogenated fat because it gives them a longer shelf life. Also, food in the US has to be labeled if it has trans fats so just look at the label. Beware of food that has partially hydrogenated oil but says there are no trans fats - the trans fats are listed per serving so more than one serving can actually have trans fats.

Doritos, chips, all that junk. Actually, if you have noticed, on the front of the bag of Doritos, it says 0g of trans fat! This is usually what causes a lot of people to buy these because they think they are much healthier. But, if you look at the nutrition facts, if it says Partially Hydrogenated, that mean there is less than 3g of Trans Fat. BUT food brands like Doritos can say NO TRANS FAT....SO BE CAREFUL haha

donuts, chinese food, muffins, twinkies and other hostess products, some margarines etc.... watch out for labels that say hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated oils... hydrogenating oils is a process they use to make oils soft and keep for long periods of time... it is very dangerous because once consumed these oils can harden again and clog your arteries, watch out for foods that contain coconut and palm oils... sunflower/olive oils are good alternatives...
