CC's Super Easy Slow Cooker soup

This is something i make all the time - I did it one day when I wanted soup and realized I didn't have tomatoes or onions but had a jar of salsa.

You didn't say how big your slow cooker is - this is for a 3 qt cooker.

2 lbs meat - cut into chunks (I have used different cuts of beef or boneless chicken or even a cut up whole chicken)

1 - 24 oz jar of salsa (mild, medium, hot with corn or beans - whatever you like!)

1 - 16 oz bag of frozen mixed vegetables

1/2 tsp thyme

Stir all ingredients together in crock and cook on low for 8 hours or more. Then soups on!

Good luck!

Last night I cooked a whole chicken in the slow cooker on low for about 8hrs ( I was at work) Then when I got home I put some root vegetables in with it and turned it on high for about an hour and a half. When everything was cooked I removed the chicken and vegetables and I made the remaining liquid to make some yummy gravy. ( try and remove all the fat off the top of the liquid)

If you do want to make a chicken put some chicken broth/ water in the bottom ( about 2")

Good Luck !

Juicy Crockpot Turkey Breast Recipe #188444

You might never make turkey breast any other way but this, this creates the most flavorful juiciest turkey breast you will ever have! do not be tempted to add in water or broth, the slow-cooking will create juice. This can also be done using a whole chicken. If you have time rub soup ingredients on and underneath the skin of the breast, wrap in foil and refrigerate for 24 hours. To cook 2 breasts just double the recipe. Do not add in any extra salt.
by KITTENCAL
6 servings time to make 1⁄2 day 10 min prep
1 (6-7 lb) turkey breast (do not remove the skin on top of the breast!)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (can use less)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
1 (1 ounce) envelope of lipton's dry onion soup mix

1. Rince the breast under cold water, then pat dry using paper towel.
2. Lightly rub vegetable oil all over the turkey breast.
3. In a small bowl mix together the onion soup mix with garlic and black pepper, then rub all over the breast and underneath the skin (at this point you can cover tightly and refrigerate for 24 hours).
4. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
5. Reduce the heat to LOW and cook for about 7 hours (7 hours is for a 6-pound breast, for a larger breast increase the cooking time slightly).

Once put a frozen maple cured ham bone in the slow cooker on low with about half cup of water in slow cooker before going to bed. In the morning removed bone, fat, grizzle and added 2 -3 cans northern beans. Was yummie and can't get any easier.

2 boxes of hamburger helper penne basil
1can of whole kernal corn
1 can of diced tomatoes ( italian flavor)
3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese or more if you like alot of cheese
1 lb or ground beef cooked and drained
put the two boxes of hamburger helper in the crock pot add all the water but 1 cup.
put in the can of corn drained
the can of tomatoes plus the liquid, and the ground beef

put crock pot on low cook for about 2 hours, take half of it out and add about 1 cup of the cheese, replace the amount you took out and add the remainder cheese or more if you like it cheesier, continue to cook until the sides start to bubble and the cheese starts to melt.

this is a really good easy goulash recipe,my kids love it its a good way to get in some veggies.if you want you can also add all the cheese at the end.but it should be done in about 3 to four hours.you can also make this on top of the stove

This one is really good...and it's my stepson's favorite:
Slow cooked sausage & sauerkraut

Drain and lightly rinse sauerkraut and place in bottom of slow cooker. Dice onion and sprinkle over kraut. Sprinkle about 1 T. brown sugar over this. Cut up sausage (either polish or smoked) and place over kraut. Add 1/4 cup apple juice. Cook on medium for 6 hours, or on high for 4 hours. The sausage is sooo tender & juicy and the sauerkraut has a sweet flavor to it. Delicious!!
